Privacy notice

Draft for legal review. This notice follows India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. A lawyer will check the wording before launch.

Who we are

This website is run by Rotary District 3110 to share what its clubs do. The district is responsible for the information shown here, and owns the accounts behind it.

What we show, and why

What we never show

Personal phone numbers (except the WhatsApp/call button you agreed to), email addresses, Rotary member ID numbers, years of birth or marriage, and the private notes of moderators.

What we keep privately

The district's full member list, including dates of birth and marriage and each member's club history, is kept in a private spreadsheet that is never published. People who send a form give their name, role and mobile number so moderators can ask questions; these are not published.

Search engines

The directory, celebrations and club member pages, member photos, and the member cards of people who have not joined the directory are marked so that Google and other search engines do not list them. This keeps them out of search results, but anyone with the link can still open them, which is why we only show what you agreed to.

Changing your mind

You can withdraw any consent at any time using the removal form. Either spouse can withdraw an anniversary or couple photo on their own. Moderators act within two days, and the change shows on the website at the next update. Removed photos are also deleted from the district's Google Drive.

The contact form

The contact form is a Google Form shown inside this website. Your name, reply details and message go to the district's private spreadsheet and to the district office by email, are used only to reply to you, and are never shown on the website.

Contact

Questions or complaints about your information: write to the district through the contact form (choose "Something else").

Scam warning

The district will never ask for money over WhatsApp. If someone uses a Rotarian's photo or name to ask you for money, it is a scam. Please report it to your club president.
